Choose Organics And Choose Health For Both You And Your Family
As the health of many Americans continues to be threatened by sickness and disease, Organic Food consumption is gaining in popularity. Consumers are demanding higher quality food and for good reason. Every time we turn around we hear about an outbreak of Salmonella, Mad Cow, or other mutation disorders in the livestock most Americans consume daily. Commercial crops routinely use sewer sludge as fertilizer and are coated in herbicides and pesticides. This feeds directly into the livestock supply through water and feed and ultimately to us through factory farms. Factory farms routinely inject their livestock with antibiotics and growth hormones, which in turn pass to us in some degree. As food consumers we sometimes feel out of control; do we have any ability to protect ourselves from food that is not up to the standards that we believe should exist? The answer is yes; we can choose Organic food.
Choosing Organic food decreases the likelihood of food borne illness and makes good sense. You can feel safe in your choice of Organics over natural and standard store options because Organic food must be certified by the USDA Certified Organics Program and grown without the use of Antibiotics, Steroids, fertilizers, and other genetically altered organisms. Vegetables are grown without herbicides and pesticides. Even the soil surrounding the vegetables on an Organic farm is more nutrient rich. The man-made chemicals on factory farms deplete the soil, our food supply, and our bodies of the nutrients our bodies need. Organic Food farms must submit to random testing of the facilities. They must also use farmland that has been free of chemicals for 3 or more years (depending on the country). Organic certification is monitored with strict guidelines; and all natural companies and farms not receiving the Organic seal cannot be trusted as organic. Don’t be confused by marketing, all natural is not certified organic.
You and your family deserve the safest, freshest, most nutrient rich food available. Organic fruits and vegetables are vibrant in color and filled with vitamins and nutrients. Organic meats are bright, full of color and flavor. Organic does cost a little more, but the peace of mind that comes with it is more than worth the increase. When you eat organic not only do you improve your health, but you also you improve the nutrients in the land for future generations; remember, there is only one you and only one Earth.
