Not only does your obesity and poor health choice-filled lifestyle put your joints at risk for breakdown due to the excess weight and sheer pressure but your obesity also puts your heart and blood vessels at risk because of the increased internal pressure which can lead to hypertension or high blood pressure. Of course, everyone knows that high blood pressure can lead to a stroke which can lead to a total life disability. Seems a rather high price to pay for being fat.

Once the body reaches a state of obesity, the ability to reverse the trend is difficult. By this time, it’s usually not just a battle against the weight problem, but a battle for one’s self esteem and confidence that they can win the battle. Obesity can be overcome, but it takes patience and a long term approach. Not just a new ‘latest’ diet.

So if you’ve found yourself in an obese state of being, then the first thing that you must do is make a decision to make a change. Start with your physician and decide on the best way regain control of your weight. Be realistic and be smart. Also be committed to the long journey. A sprint will not win the obesity race.

Being so fat that you have now waddled into the pool of obesity is a time bomb waiting to happen. Your health simply will not hold up under all the stress and strain of that much extra weight. You have to work closely with your doctor so that you are back in control of your body. You can win the battle of obesity, you just have to decide deep in your soul that it is a battle that you really truly want to win.
