appearance, then work on toning the pectoral muscles that lie beneath the breasts.
Old fashioned push-ups are a great way to tone your pecs. Another useful exercise is curling your
fingers into claws and interlocking them at the level of your chest. Then pull back hard with
each arm as if you were trying to pry your hands a part. You’ll feel the pull in your arms,
shoulders, and chest.
2. The Abs
Most of us are not genetically programmed to have the six-pack abs of some celebrities, but
dieting while toning your abdominal muscles will still give you a look to be confident of.
The best toning exercise for abs is the dreaded crunch. Lie on your back on the floor or a mat
(Use an area rug if you don’t have a mat) with your hands behind your head and your knees bent. Use
your abdominal muscles to crunch upward.
Try to imagine your belly button touching your spine as you hold the crunch for five seconds and
then release. If you have a rowing machine, this can also be a nice toning device for abs as well
as for pecs and legs.
3. The Butt
Women tend to be very unhappy with their butts, and a little more fat than usual can create some
frustration. Fortunately, the buttocks are made up of muscle, so dieting while toning can give
you some nice dramatic results. The lunge and the squat are two of the best exercises for toning
your buttocks.
The lunge starts from the same position (back straight, feet shoulder-width apart). Then lunge
forward with one foot until the knee is bent at a 90-degree angle. But Keep the back leg
straight. Hold the position for five seconds and then repeat with the other foot. And so on.
To do the squat, stand with your back straight, your feet shoulder-width apart, and squat until
your knees are bent at a 90-degree angle and your upper legs are parallel to the floor. If your
balance is not that good, then stand with your back to a wall for support.
Of course, it’s impossible to put everything about dieting while toning into just one article.
But you can’t deny that you’ve just added to your understanding about dieting while toning, and
